Reward Offered in Homicide Case
The Corona Police Department is offering a $5,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect(s) involved in a homicide occurring on January 17, 2010, in the 1100 block of West Ninth St.
On January 17, 2010, at approximately 6:42 P.M., Officers of the Corona Police Department responded to the 1100 block of West Ninth St., reference a possible shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim inside a residence with multiple gunshot wounds. The male, later identified as Rudy Mancilla age 32 years of Corona, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Corona Paramedics.
No one else was injured during the shooting.
Corona Police Detectives responded and have been conducting an in depth investigation. Their investigation has determined that an unknown suspect came to the victim?s residence and knocked on the door. Upon the door being opened the suspect shot numerous rounds into the residence striking the victim.
The investigation is ongoing. The Corona Police Department is asking anyone with information regarding the suspect, or any additional information about this incident to please call the Corona Police Department Hotline at 951-817-5837
