On January 17, 2010, at approximately 6:42 P.M., Officers of the Corona Police Department responded to the 1100 block of West Ninth St., reference a possible shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim inside a residence with multiple gunshot wounds. The male was pronounced deceased at the scene by Corona Paramedics. Corona Police Detectives responded and have been conducting an in depth investigation. Their Investigation has determined that an unknown suspect came to the victim?s residence and knocked on the door. Upon the door being opened the suspect shot numerous rounds into the residence striking the victim. There were three other occupants in the residence at the time of the shooting. None of them were injured. Their relationship to the victim is still being determined and their names are not being released. The name of the victim is being withheld pending the notification of family. At this time there is no motive for the shooting and the investigation is ongoing. The Corona Police Department is asking anyone with information about this incident to please call the Corona Police Department Dispatch at 951-736-2334.
