Reference:	Death Investigation- Update. Homicide Arrest.

On December 02, 2009 at approximately, 5:37 AM, Officers of the Corona Police Department responded to an apartment in the 1200 block of West Sixth Street, reference an unknown problem. A 15 year old female juvenile from inside the residence called 911 stating they had been awakened by two male subjects inside the apartment. Upon arriving, the officers located two children inside the apartment un-injured and an adult male deceased inside a bedroom. No one else was located inside the apartment. Corona Police Detectives responded and have been conducting an in depth investigation. During their investigation it was learned from the autopsy that the victim a Fernando Castillo, 46 of Corona had died from wounds caused by a sharp implement. During additional follow-up interviews, the detectives spoke with the 15 year old female's boyfriend who confessed to the murder. The boyfriend, a Brian Michael Aranda age 21, from West Covina has been arrested for homicide, and is being held at the Robert Presley Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing, to determine if there are any other suspects. The motive for the homicide is still being determined.
