Jason Scott was elected to the Corona City Council in 2008 and currently serves on the Public Services Committee. Prior to being elected to the Council, he spent six years on the City's Planning Commission.
Mr. Scott moved to Corona in 1968 and graduated from Corona Senior High School a few years later. He has a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership, a California Life Teaching Credential, and a California Administrative Credential. He and his wife Dee have two daughters, Sharlynn and Cherise, and three grandchildren.
Mr. Scott has worked for the Corona-Norco Unified School District for over 30 years and as a school administrator for the last 20. He is currently Principal of Benjamin Franklin Elementary School.
Mr. Scott is also President of the Friends of the Corona Public Library, Vice-President for Legislation for the Corona-Norco Management Association and serves on the Board of Directors for the Corona Fire Safety Foundation, UNITY, and United Way. Additionally, he is a member of the Riverside Superior Court Community Committee.
