Mission

Our mission is to protect the City of Corona's water reclamation systems, water quality, our residents, our workers and the environment in order to assure an exceptional quality of life for our community. Achieving these objectives will eliminate the discharge of pollutants into surface waters and increase the level of water quality for our future and for generations to come.

Our program includes the following components:

  • Insure that the City of Corona Department of Water & Power maintains compliance with water, wastewater and air quality programs
  • Implement the City of Corona's pretreatment program
  • Work with industries and assist them in achieving compliance with pretreatment requirements

SSMP Development Plan & Development Schedule (SSMP)

The City of Corona Department of Water & Power is required to develop a Sanitary Sewer Management Plan (SSMP) per the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) Order No. 2006-0003, Statewide General Waste Discharge Requirements for Sanitary Sewer Systems (Order No. 06-03). The City of Corona's SSMP was adopted by Resolution No. 2009-018 of the Corona City Council on February 18, 2009.
